The Selous Game Reserve is a protected area in southern Tanzania. It covers a total area of 50,000 kmยฒ and has additional buffer zones. It was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1982 due to its wildlife diversity and undisturbed nature.
Take the first ferry from Zanzibar depart 07:00 am and pick up on arrival at the DAR ferry, and drive to the Selous (4 hrs).
