On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, you will be welcomed by your driver-guide from Tanzania Adventures Group and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. This day is kept light so you can rest after travel and prepare for the safari adventure ahead.

Arusha is the main gateway for northern Tanzania safaris and gives a convenient base before heading toward the Serengeti ecosystem. Depending on arrival time, a short town briefing or final safari preparation can be arranged.

After breakfast, depart Arusha and drive toward Karatu. This day helps the itinerary stay comfortable and well-paced while moving deeper into the safari circuit. It is also useful for visitors who prefer not to rush directly from Arusha into a long drive toward Serengeti on the same day.

Karatu sits in the fertile highlands near the Ngorongoro route and is a very practical stop before entering the greater Serengeti ecosystem. It also gives travellers a relaxed introduction to northern Tanzania scenery.

Today you enter the main wildlife circuit, driving through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area toward Serengeti National Park. The journey itself is scenic and exciting, with changing landscapes from highland forests to open plains.

Once in Central Serengeti, your safari begins immediately with an en-route game drive. Central Serengeti is a strong year-round wildlife zone and a reliable base for predators, general plains game, and access to wider migration areas.

Spend a full day exploring Central Serengeti, an area famous for lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes, elephants, wildebeest, zebra, and many other species. You will continue with game viewing on the way and sleep in a migration-positioned camp for stronger access to the most active wildlife zone.
