You will be picked up at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transferred to your hotel in Moshi town. Upon arrival, you will meet your guide, who will brief you on your upcoming trek and perform an equipment check to ensure you have all the necessary mountain gear. The drive from Arusha to the Mount Kilimanjaro National Park Gate takes you through the village of Machame, located at the base of the mountain. Once at the gate, we begin our hike through the dense rainforest, following a winding trail up a ridge. The trail can be muddy and slippery, so gaiters and trekking poles are recommended. The hike ends at Machame Camp, where you will spend the night.

After breakfast, we leave the rain forest and continue ascending along a rocky ridge covered with heather. The path takes us to a river gorge, where we turn west, heading towards Shira Camp. The stunning views of the plateau make this a memorable day of trekking. We rest and spend the night at Shira Camp.

Habitation: Semi Desert
We begin our ascent from the Shira Plateau, heading east up a ridge. The path brings us to the Lava Tower, also known as the "Shark's Tooth," which sits at an altitude of 13,000ft. After passing the tower, we continue our descent into Barranco Camp at 13,000ft, where we rest for the night. Though we end the day at the same altitude as we started, this day is crucial for acclimatization to prepare for the summit.

Habitation: Alpine Desert
After breakfast, we leave Barranco and begin a steep ascent up the Barranco Wall, which leads to Karanga Valley. From Karanga, we continue on the junction that connects with the Mweka Trail, eventually arriving at Barafu Camp. This is where we make camp and rest. From this point, we have stunning views of both Mawenzi and Kibo peaks, and we prepare for the final summit push.

Climbing Time: 7-8 hours ascent / 4-6 hours descent
Habitation: Arctic
We begin our summit attempt very early (midnight to 2 am), climbing through heavy scree towards Stella Point on the crater rim. This section is the most physically and mentally demanding part of the trek. At Stella Point, we rest and are rewarded with a breathtaking sunrise. From here, we continue to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. After celebrating, we descend to Barafu for lunch and continue down to Mweka Camp, where we rest and enjoy our last dinner on the mountain.

The final leg of the trek takes us down through the dense rainforest, descending to Mweka Gate. The trek takes about 3-4 hours. Upon arrival, you will receive your summit certificate if you reached Stella Point or Uhuru Peak. Afterward, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel in Moshi for a well-deserved rest and celebration of your achievement.
