Tanzania Adventures
Early morning departure from Arusha and drive to Tarangire Park for game viewing and photography; Tarangire is home to large numbers of Eliphant, pelican, stork, and other different bird species and is therefore regarded as the birding paradise of Tanzania. Other animals easily spotted include hippos, which can be observed at close range during your boat ride. Giraffe, gazelle, warthog, and others can be seen browsing inside the park. If lucky, you might see the rare tree-climbing lion which also resides within this park.
Early breakfast followed by departure to the Great Serengeti arriving for lunch; lunch is followed by game viewing. Serengeti is home to Africa’s big five (elephant, rhino, lion, leopard & buffalo) and is also home to millions of other animals which include browsers, predators, reptiles, and birds. The annual w ildebeest migration commences in June when over 1 million wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle head into the Masai Mara plains in search of better pasture. These animals are followed closely by the predators of the savannah (lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena, vultures, and others). Evening transfer back to accommodation for rest and dinner
Early breakfast followed by morning game drives within Serengeti to see the park one last time. Afterward, then check out Serengeti and be driven to Ngorongoro Crater arriving in the evening for check-in and dinner at camp. Ngorongoro is rich and fertile with stunning views of the crater and lakes. stopping to enjoy a picnic lunch en route. Keep your eyes open for wildlife, especially in the early morning hours when animals and birds are more active. Next, we visit the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, home to one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa. We descend to the Ngorongoro Crater floor, taking in stunning views of the world’s largest unflooded caldera on the way down. The crater is home to the Big Five and almost every kind of big mammal found in Africa. After a rewarding game drive in this World Heritage Site, we drive out of the crater to transfer to our accommodation in The Ngorongoro Conservation Area for dinner and an overnight stay.
Today your safari will begin after breakfast at your lodge in Karatu. We will drive to Mto wa Mbu for cultural tour activity (Masai culture, historical crafit, etc.). That afternoon you will enjoy your picnic lunch at the Mto wa Mbu town, then continue with the afternoons. We will start to drive back in Arusha and proceed to the Kilimanjaro International Airport.
