Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Londorossi Gate

Activities: Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to Moshi

Accommodation: Overnight at a hotel or lodge Moshi

Day 2: Londorossi Gate to Mti Mkubwa Camp

Elevation Gain: 2,100 m (Londorossi Gate) to 2,750 m (Mti Mkubwa Camp)

Distance: Approximately 8 km

Hiking Time: 3-4 hours

Accommodation: Mti Mkubwa Camp

Day 3: Mti Mkubwa Camp to Shira 1 Camp

Elevation Gain: 2,750 m (Mti Mkubwa Camp) to 3,500 m (Shira 1 Camp)

Distance: Approximately 7 km

Hiking Time: 5-7 hours

Accommodation: Shira 1 Camp

Day 4: Shira 1 Camp to Shira 2 Camp

Elevation Gain: 3,500 m (Shira 1 Camp) to 3,900 m (Shira 2 Camp)

Distance: Approximately 6 km

Hiking Time: 3-4 hours

Accommodation: Shira 2 Camp

Note: This shorter day allows for acclimatization and exploration of the Shira Plateau.

Day 5: Shira 2 Camp to Barranco Camp

Elevation Gain: 3,900 m (Shira 2 Camp) to 3,950 m (Barranco Camp)

Distance: Approximately 10 km

Hiking Time: 6-8 hours

Accommodation: Barranco Camp

Note: This day includes a climb to the Lava Tower and then a descent to Barranco Camp to aid acclimatization.

Day 6: Barranco Camp to Barafu Camp

Elevation Gain: 3,950 m (Barranco Camp) to 4,600 m (Barafu Camp)

Distance: Approximately 13 km

Hiking Time: 8-10 hours

Accommodation: Barafu Camp

Note: Prepare for the final summit push by resting and hydrating well.

Day 7: Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak and Descend to Mweka Camp

Elevation Gain: 4,600 m (Barafu Camp) to 5,895 m (Uhuru Peak), then descend to 3,100 m (Mweka Camp)

Distance: Approximately 22 km

Hiking Time: 12-15 hours

Accommodation: Mweka Camp or similar

Day 8: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate and Departure

Elevation Loss: 3,100 m (Mweka Camp) to 1,800 m (Mweka Gate)

Distance: Approximately 10 km

Hiking Time: 3-4 hours

Activities: Transfer to the airport or continue with your travel plans.
