Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met and transferred to your accommodation in Arusha, where you will stay for one night (Welcoming Dinner included). Refresh, enjoy delectable dining, and prepare for the adventures to come.
Early morning departure from Arusha and drive to Tarangire Park for game viewing and photography. Tarangire is home to large numbers of elephants, pelicans, storks, and other bird species, making it a birding paradise. Other animals easily spotted include hippos during your boat ride, along with giraffes, gazelles, and warthogs browsing in the park. If lucky, you might see the rare tree-climbing lion that resides here.
After an early breakfast, depart for the Great Serengeti, arriving in time for lunch followed by game viewing. Serengeti is home to Africa’s Big Five (elephant, rhino, lion, leopard, and buffalo) and millions of other animals, including browsers, predators, reptiles, and birds. The annual wildebeest migration begins in June, when over 1 million wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles head into the Masai Mara plains. Evening transfer back to accommodation for rest and dinner.
Enjoy an early breakfast followed by morning game drives within the Serengeti for one last glimpse of the park. Return to camp for a hot lunch, then check out and drive to Ngorongoro Crater, arriving in the evening for check-in and dinner at camp. Ngorongoro is rich and fertile, offering stunning views of the crater and lakes.
After breakfast, check out from camp with a packed picnic lunch for a 6-hour game viewing experience on the crater floor. Descend into the breathtaking caldera, home to Tanzania’s only remaining black rhino population. Other easily spotted animals include hippos, elephants, gazelle antelope, flamingos, and various water birds. In the afternoon, ascend back to the crater rim for transfer to Arusha to connect with your next flight.
