Pick up from Arusha early in the morning and drive for around 2 hours along a nice paved road to Tarangire National Park, located along the Arusha – Dodoma Road, past Makuyuni Junction. Tarangire is renowned for its large elephant herds, along with other big game and diverse birdlife. The park is dotted with gigantic baobab trees and is home to most of the Big Five, including leopards, buffaloes, lions, and elephants, though it lacks rhinos. Named after the Tarangire River, which flows through the park, it remains teeming with wildlife year-round. You will enjoy game drives until late afternoon before transferring to Mto wa Mbu for an overnight stay at a campsite near Lake Manyara. Lunch and dinner included.
This morning, we will wake up early and transfer through Karatu township, arriving at the Loduare Main Gate of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to register. A brief stop at the Crater’s View Point offers breathtaking views of the Crater floor, perfect for photos before descending to where most animals reside. You will spend the day at the base of the ‘World's Largest Caldera,’ doing game drives to spot the Big Five and many other species up close. Ngorongoro Crater boasts the largest concentration of wildlife in their natural habitat. Lunch will be a picnic at one of the sites, and later, you will drive up to the Crater rim to camp at Simba Campsite or return to Mto wa Mbu. All meals are included: breakfast, picnic lunch, and dinner.
Breakfast at your campsite will be freshly prepared by your professionally trained safari cooks, followed by entry into Lake Manyara National Park, situated at the base of the Great Rift Valley. Your final day will be spent in this lush, green park, nourished by underground rivers. Game drives will reveal elephants and giraffes as you navigate the forests right from the park’s entrance. Lake Manyara is home to thousands of primates, including playful monkeys and large troops of baboons. The lake itself covers two-thirds of the park (220 km²), where you'll find hippos and a variety of aquatic birds like cormorants, Egyptian geese, herons, and both Greater and Lesser flamingos. Later in the afternoon, depending on your schedule, you will be transferred back to Arusha, concluding your safari.
