Pick up from Arusha early in the morning and drive for around 2 hours along a nice paved road to Tarangire National Park, located along the Arusha – Dodoma Road, past Makuyuni Junction. Tarangire is renowned for its large elephant herds and diverse birdlife. Dotted with gigantic baobab trees, it’s one of the best places to see the Big Five—leopards, buffaloes, lions, and elephants—though rhinos are not found here. The park derives its name from the Tarangire River, which flows through it, ensuring a rich wildlife experience year-round. You will enjoy game drives until later in the afternoon before transferring to Mto wa Mbu, where you’ll spend the night at a campsite near Lake Manyara. Lunch and dinner are included.
This morning, we will wake up early and transfer through Karatu township, arriving at the Loduare Main Gate of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. After registering to access the NCAA, we’ll stop at the Crater’s View Point for breathtaking views over the Crater floor, perfect for photos. We will then descend to the floor of the ‘World's Largest Caldera,’ where you’ll spend most of the day on game drives in search of the Big Five and other wildlife. Ngorongoro Crater boasts the largest concentration of wild animals in their natural habitat. Enjoy a picnic lunch at one of the designated sites, and in the afternoon, you can choose to camp at Simba Campsite on the Crater rim or return to Mto wa Mbu. Request pricing for a stay at the Crater’s rim if desired. All meals are included: breakfast, picnic lunch, and dinner.
After a freshly prepared breakfast at your campsite by our professional safari cooks, you will enter Lake Manyara National Park, situated at the base of the Great Rift Valley. This small but stunning park is lush and green, nourished by underground rivers, making it beautiful year-round. You’ll enjoy game drives across the park’s plains, where elephants and giraffes can often be seen amidst the forests. The park is also home to a variety of primates, including cheeky monkeys and large troops of baboons. The lake itself covers two-thirds of the park (220 km²) and is home to hippos and various aquatic birds such as cormorants, Egyptian geese, herons, and the Greater and Lesser flamingos that flock here. In the afternoon, depending on your schedule, you will be transferred back to Arusha, marking the end of your safari.
