Tanzania Adventures
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha. Transfer to your hotel for rest and a pre-trek briefing. Overnight in Arusha.
Day 2: Drive to Momella Gate and begin your trek to Miriakamba Hut (2,514 meters), passing through lush rainforest and encountering wildlife such as giraffes and buffaloes. Overnight at Miriakamba Hut.
Day 3: Continue the ascent to Saddle Hut (3,570 meters), with an optional acclimatization hike to Little Meru (3,820 meters). Overnight at Saddle Hut.
Day 4: Early morning summit attempt to Socialist Peak (4,566 meters) for sunrise views. Descend back to Momella Gate and transfer to Arusha. Overnight in Arusha.
Day 5: Transfer to Machame Gate and begin the Kilimanjaro trek to Machame Camp (2,835 meters) through the rainforest. Overnight at Machame Camp.
Day 6: Ascend from Machame Camp to Shira Camp (3,750 meters), enjoying panoramic views. Overnight at Shira Camp.
Day 7: Trek to Barranco Camp (3,900 meters) via Lava Tower for acclimatization. Overnight at Barranco Camp.
Day 8: Continue to Karanga Camp (3,995 meters), crossing the Barranco Wall. Overnight at Karanga Camp.
Day 9: Descend from Karanga Camp to Mweka Gate, completing your Kilimanjaro trek. Transfer to Tarangire National Park for an afternoon game drive. Tarangire is known for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. Overnight at a lodge or camp in Tarangire.
Day 10: Morning game drive in Tarangire, then transfer to Ngorongoro Crater. Descend into the crater for a game drive in this UNESCO World Heritage Site, home to a dense population of wildlife, including the Big Five. After the game drive, transfer back to Arusha for rest and reflection. Departure from Kilimanjaro International Airport or continuation of your travels.
