Your first day of the 5-day camping safari in Tanzania begins with a drive to Lake Manyara. The park is located at the foot of the steep cliffs of the Great Rift Valley and is known for its incredible beauty. You can expect to see many wildlife species such as buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, impalas, hippos, and others.

After breakfast, you will head to Serengeti National Park. A picnic lunch will be provided. En route, you will stop at the Olduvai Gorge, where anthropologists Louis and Mary Leakey made many significant discoveries contributing to the theory that human life originated in Africa. After having your picnic lunch on a kopje (rock outcrop) in the Serengeti, you will proceed into the park for a game drive.

Halfway through your 5-day camping safari tour in Tanzania. Early morning game drive to observe nocturnal predators returning from hunting and animals waking up in the early morning light, followed by a day filled with more drives through the Serengeti. Depending on the season and the migration of the herds, you can expect to see wildebeests, lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos, antelopes, and many birds and other species.

After breakfast, you will proceed to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and descend into the crater for a wonderful game drive (with picnic lunch) inside the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2,000-foot high walls, Ngorongoro Crater has the highest density of wildlife in the world. Species include lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds, and other species. You can expect to see the "Big Five" in one day.

In the morning, once the morning mist has cleared (depending on weather conditions), you will take a nature walk on the northern rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, inhabited by buffaloes, elephants, baboons, monkeys, and various bird species. Accompanied by a ranger or Maasai guide, you will follow animal trails through the dense bush. Then, you will return to Arusha, arriving in the early afternoon, to conclude your five-day safari camping tour.
