Our driver will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha. En route to a full-day tour of the Ngorongoro Crater, you'll have a picnic. You will descend into the crater with a 4x4 vehicle, explore the crater floor, before ascending and driving to your lodge on the crater rim. Often referred to as "Africa's Eden" and the "8th Natural Wonder of the World," the Ngorongoro Crater visit is one of the main attractions for tourists coming to Tanzania and definitely a world-class attraction.
The Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA) is home to the Ngorongoro Crater, which was formed about 2.5 million years ago from a volcano that collapsed due to inactivity, initially thought to be taller than Tanzania's famous Mount Kilimanjaro. The crater has become a unique and integral part of Tanzania's ecosystem. The crater is actually a caldera, measuring 22.5 km in diameter, with walls rising 600 m high. The views from inside and from the rim are breathtaking. The crater hosts 30,000 animals and a wide variety of birds, which rarely leave the area due to the availability of water during both the rainy and dry seasons. In the evening, we return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Pick up from your hotel after breakfast and transfer to Arusha airstrip for your flight to Serengeti North. Upon arrival, meet your driver guide for a full-day game drive in this part of the park to observe the great migration. The park is known for its healthy population of other native wildlife, especially the "Big Five," named after the five most valuable trophies hunted by hunters: Lion: The Serengeti is believed to host the largest lion population in Africa, partly due to the abundance of prey species. After breakfast at the camp, embark on a game drive with your picnic lunch to observe the great migration. The main feature is the Mara River, and it is not uncommon for herds to cross the Mara River northward in a day and return southward a few days later. After breakfast, enjoy a full day of game viewing at the Mara River and observe the crossing of the great migration. In the evening, return to the campfire, dinner, and overnight stay at the camp. From August, daily river crossings occur at Kogatende as the mega herds settle in the area. From August to October, wildlife viewing here is excellent as river crossings are almost guaranteed every day. There is no distinct movement as herds tend to cross the river back and forth following the rains and subsequent fresh grass. It is not uncommon to have different herds crossing in different directions on the same day.
