Transfer from the airport to Stone Town, check-in at the hotel. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Swahili dinner in Stone Town (the heart of Zanzibar). The next morning, your program begins with a morning walk on our historic Stone Town tour. This tour takes you through the legendary Stone Town, where history seems to stand still. With visits to, among others, the House of Wonders, the Palace Museum (People's Palace), and the Arab Fort, you'll get a fascinating insight into the essence of Zanzibar. You'll see Zanzibar's bustling market, winding alleyways, intricately carved and studded doors, two cathedral islands, and countless mosques. Dinner and overnight stay at your accommodation.
At 9:00 am, head to the Nakupenda Sandbank. At 2:00 pm, the Spice Tour begins. On this tour, you'll see and taste the tropical fruits, spice plantations, or fields on the island. During the Spice Tour, you can see a variety of spice plants used as ornaments, medicine, flowers, fruits, and other interesting plants. You'll also visit the Kidichi Bath, built in 1850 by the first Sultan for his wife Sheharzad (granddaughter of Fateh Ali Shah of Persia). Then, return to the city for dinner and overnight stay at your accommodation.
Relax at the beach in the hotel for half a day or take a short tour of Stone Town and do some shopping in the afternoon. Return to your accommodation in the late afternoon. Transfer to the airport. If you're flying from Dar es Salaam or Nairobi, we'll arrange a connecting flight for you to catch your flight home.
