After breakfast, you'll head to Tarangire National Park and enjoy a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch. The park is characterized by natural vegetation, primarily acacia woodlands and vast African baobab trees, with huge marshes in the south. Both the river and the marshes act as a magnet for wildlife during Tanzania's dry season. Tarangire National Park is said to host some of Africa's largest elephant herds. This African national park is also home to three rare animal species – the Greater Kudu, the fringe-eared oryx, and some ashy starlings. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge/tented camp or basic public campsite. Meals: Lunch, dinner, and breakfast.
After breakfast, we'll depart with a packed lunch for Ngorongoro Crater and embark on a full-day game drive in the crater. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely populated African wildlife areas in the world, estimated to be home to 30,000 animals, including some of Tanzania's last remaining black rhinos. The crater is supplied with water and fodder throughout the year, providing shelter to a wide variety of animals, including herds of wildebeests, zebras, buffaloes, elands, warthogs, hippos, and giant African elephants. Another major attraction of this picturesque national park is its vast predator population, including lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the elusive leopard. We'll enjoy a picnic on the crater floor. In the late afternoon, we'll return to Arusha.
